A spontaneous night
Have you heard about the Gloster? It is the place I recently discovered!
Do you know the feeling when your man tells you “Get ready, I take you somewhere tonight”? It happened for me last Saturday. After a long day of shopping, I wasn’t necessarily longing for a great party in the evening. A pizza at home with Monsieur Inwood was perfectly enough. But this unexpected proposal puzzled me. In a snap, I was ready, wearing my favorite high heels.
During the taxi ride, Monsieur Inwood explained that he was taking me to a special place and said he was certain I would appreciate it. He was right!
The Gloster and the Glosty
The Gloster. That was our destination that night. A cocktail bar in the heart of the 7th neighborhood of Paris, inspired by the famous gloster, a bird with a hoopoe from the canaries’ family. The exoticism of this place was breathtaking. But what surprised me the most was the drink that I chose.
The Glosty, that was the name of the cocktail. The blend of unusual different ingredients seemed to me rather brave. I loved the mixed of the ingredients that was totally unexpected : White rum, Lychee Liquor and a wonderful Gum Syrup... I saw the bartender preparing or rather creating this beverage for me. He seemed to master his trade very well, to be passionate with it. The Glosty was a marvel. The rum made the drink very refined. When I closed my eyes, I felt like sipping a cocktail on a Bahamas beach, in front of turquoise blue waters.
It was so fun to learn at the end of the evening that The Glosty was the name of one of the Gloster Birds.
What I am certain about is that I will be back in the Gloster very soon!
